Dear Members & Guests,
My name is Kshama Kumari, and it is my distinct pleasure as the President of IAOK to welcome you to the IAOK website. I encourage you to explore this website. Even though the website is continually being updated, it will nonetheless give you an excellent idea of where we have been and where we are going. Take a tour of the various pages on this site. A lot of wonderful things are happening at IAOK and we want you to participate in all of them.
We are a cultural organization in the state of Oklahoma. Our sole focus is Indian culture, without any political ties or agenda. IAOK has been in place for many years and going strong. As you may already know, every year we prepare and present several cultural and entertainment programs for our children, youngsters, senior citizens, and other adult members.
We are a non-profit and non-sectarian organization by our charter and our objectives are to promote friendly relations among our members, to provide a forum for exchange of ideas and discussions of various problems that confront them and to bond them together for mutual interests, to promote a better understanding of Indian Culture and Heritage in American Society, to celebrate and participate in Social, Religious and Cultural events, to promote education, and to support humanitarian causes.
Currently, over one hundred families are our proud members. As the President, it is also my personal goal to increase the membership in the organization. We have compiled and included on this website an overview of IAOK. Hope this overview will give you a glimpse of our activities, and tell you what we have accomplished in the past years, and what we stand for.
Once again, welcome to our home page. Please feel free to call me or any of us if you have any questions or comments. We are looking forward to your active participation in all our activities and hope to see you at our next program.
Currently IAOK is a tax exempt organization, but can lose this status if membership drops below 200, therefore support your association and become an active member.
