Facing Cancer - by Dr. Arvind Chaturvedi

IAOK member, Dr. Arvind Chaturvedi has authored a book “Facing Cancer – an Unforgettable Surviving Experience”, based upon his personal experiences while fitting and defeating cancer. The book has received great reviews in local and national print and online news media.

In his book, Dr. Chaturvedi shows readers, based upon his own personal experiences, the emotional, medical, and spiritual journey one goes through when faced with the life-threatening situation cancer can bring. He also effectively summarizes the cancer-related process so that patients and their family members will have a better understanding of the methods of healing.   • Megan Prasad, daughter of Sheela and late B.H Prasad, is graduating in May 2011 from Edmond Memorial High School. She is a National Merit Finalist, Academic Allstate and class Valedictorian with distinction. Megan will attend Harvard in the fall of 2011, where she will pursue pre-medicine.

  • Rajat Ghosh, son of Anita and Dipankar Ghosh, is graduating in May 2011 from Norman North High School.
    A National Merit finalist, Ghosh is the recipient of the United State Achievement Academy’s National Service and Leadership Award. At Norman North, Ghosh is president of the National Honor Society and is sports editor for the school newspaper. He is a member of the National Society of High School Scholars, Mu Alpha Theta math honor society and Mensa. Rajat will pursue a major in chemical engineering at the University of Minnesota.

  • Amrita  Sengupta  was  featured  in  August  2010  ’The  Oklahoma’  magazine  in  the  series  ’Head  of Class’  graduating 2010. She decided to join Washington University in a business management and Engineering program.
