Pandit Suman Ghosh

In Hindustani Classical Music circles, Pandit Ghosh does not need much introduction. A senior disciple of Sangeet Martand Pandit Jasraj-ji, Pandit Suman Ghosh is one of the present generation stalwarts of the Mewati Gharana of Hindustani Classical music. Winner of a number of prestigious awards and honors, Pandit Ghosh has performed all over India and many other countries of the world. Enriched with a mellifluous voice, well-cultivated & all round musicianship and seasoned performing skills, Pandit Ghosh is also one of the few musicians in India who have admirably combined performance with academics. Pandit Ghosh began his journey in music at the tender age of 7 under the guidance of his mother Smt. Monika Ghosh. Later he trained under the maestros like Pandit Shrikant Bakre, Padmabhushan Pandit Jnan Prakash Ghosh, and finally, the living legend of Indian music, Padmavibhushan Pandit Jasraj-ji, who transformed him into a full-fledged performing musician. In the year 2008, the Sangeet Martand himself has bestowed the title of “Acharya Varishtha” to Pandit Ghosh. In the year 2010, various Indo-American organizations, led by the India Culture Center of Houston and the Indian Consulate, have honored
Pandit Ghosh with the prestigious Tagore Award for his contributions in the field of music.

Maranganti Venkata Narasimhachari

Mr. Narasimhachari is a very accomplished music composer, choreographer, concert Musician, a performing artist (Kuchipudi & Bharatanatyam) and a teacher of outstanding capacity. He has choreographed as many as 28 dance dramas and thematic presentations. He has traveled extensively performing, teaching and conducting workshops in several countries. Currently he is actively researching ‘Dance Therapy and Healing’. He has been awarded the title “Nritya Choodamani”, a  prestigious one in the field of classical dance. He is also a visiting faculty at University of Central Oklahoma. He was the president of ABHAI (Association of Bharatnatyam Artistes of India) for nine years. He is the director of Kalasamarpana Foundation.

Maranganti Venkata Narasimhachari was born in Rajahmundry a beautiful city on the banks of River Godavari. As a student of the first batch at the Music College of Tirupathi, Narasimhachari had the privilege of learning from stalwarts such as Chittore Subramaniam Pillai, Prof. Sambamurthy, D. Pasupati, S.R. Janakiraman and V.L. Janakiram, Mridangam from Shanmuganandam Pillai and Bharatanatyam from Smt Kanchanamala. A turning point in young Chari’s life was when Smt  Rukmini Devi Arundale upon witnessing one of his performances invited him to join the internationally renowned Kalakshetra. While at Kalakshetra, Narasimhachari was trained in vocal music by the legendary M.D. Ramanathan and in Mridangam by Karaikudi Krishnamurthy. Mr. Narasimhachari, six times award winner from President of India for his  contribution to art, graduate of kalakshetra, obtained the Sangita Siromani degree from the Madras University. He is a singer par excellence and is a very popular concert musician. Narasimhachari is a multi-faceted artiste known for his technical  virtuosity on the Mridangam.
